When accuracy and expert analysis matter
A chronological summary, a clinical analysis, your IME report built from your dictation, a deposition guide rooted in the medical evidence, or a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon's expert opinion: choose what the matter needs. Every service is built for spine, joint, fracture, and soft-tissue injury cases and starts from the same discipline: every accessible page of the record, read and organized, and shaped at intake to who you are and how your file gets used.
Tier one
The complete treatment history on one chronological timeline.
Tier two
The timeline plus findings, gaps, and inconsistencies in context.
Tier three
Board-certified orthopaedic surgeon opinions for the cases the medicine decides.
For IME physicians
Your dictation and the raw records in; your report out, built on your template, ready for your conclusions.
For law firms
The record and the opposing expert's report, turned into lines of questioning rooted in the medical evidence.
Tier one · $0.25 / page
Every visit, study, procedure, and provider in one timeline: date, provider, facility, and what happened. Records from every source are merged into a single medical chronology. AI-based tools help organize the record, and your reviewer creates and verifies the summary against the source PDFs. Speed never substitutes for accuracy. Significant entries such as imaging results, work restrictions, gaps in treatment, and prior complaints involving the same body part are flagged where they occur in the record.
Each case is assigned to a nurse practitioner, physician assistant, or physician who works in orthopedic or spine care, based in North America and in active clinical practice, under the direction of a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon. A reviewer who sees cervical radiculopathy, lumbar fusion, rotator cuff repair, and tibial plateau fractures in clinic reads those charts the way an examiner or an expert will. When you open a case you tell us whether you're a physician practice, a law firm, or a carrier, and whether the matter is plaintiff, defense, workers' compensation, or malpractice, so the summary is organized the way your side of the file actually gets used.
Tier two · $0.40 / page
Everything in the Record Summary, plus identification of objective findings, patterns, discrepancies, and apparent anomalies that may warrant closer attention: treatment gaps, changes in reported symptoms, potentially relevant imaging findings, prior and pre-existing conditions, and inconsistencies within the record, each identified and placed in context by the same clinician who built your summary. The analysis stays on the factual side of the line. NaviCase identifies what the record shows without forming opinions on causation, credibility, standard of care, treatment necessity, permanency, or prognosis. Interpretation remains with you and your retained experts.
Tier three · Custom quote
For the cases where the medicine decides the outcome. A board-certified orthopaedic surgeon reviews the complete record and renders expert opinions on causation, permanency, disability, and future care, the same medical-legal analysis courts and counsel rely on in compulsory medical examinations. Matters outside orthopedics and spine are referred to a board-certified physician in the relevant specialty when one is available. This tier is a separate physician-specific engagement, quoted per case from our medical-legal fee schedule; contact us with the case outline and we'll provide a written estimate.

You did the examination and dictated your findings. The report still has to be built, and the building is what eats the evening. Send us the raw records and a transcript of your dictation, and we return the report composed on your own template: your history and examination sections written from your dictation, the complete record review prepared the way our summaries are always prepared, with every accessible, readable page of the confirmed record set read and accounted for. The Comments and Conclusions sections arrive blank, because the opinions in your report are yours alone.
The draft comes back in Word on your template, ready for your review. You read it against your own standard, correct anything you would say differently, write your conclusions, and sign. Nothing is invented and nothing is assumed: where the dictation is unclear or the record is incomplete, the draft flags it for you rather than papering over it. Billing is the page count of the records at $0.50 per page with a $500 case minimum, standard turnaround is 5 business days from records, transcript, and payment, and rush service is available at the usual premiums, confirmed before you pay.
For law firms · $0.75 / page
When the opposing expert's deposition is on the calendar, the questions that land are the ones anchored in the record and the literature. Send the complete records, and include the opposing expert's report if one has been served. Your reviewer reads every accessible, readable page, analyzes the expert's report against what the chart actually shows, and builds a deposition guide for counsel: where the report's history diverges from the treatment timeline, which findings the report leans on and what the source documents say about them, published studies bearing on the mechanisms and prognoses at issue, and suggested lines of questioning keyed to specific records and pages, so every question you ask has an exhibit behind it.
The guide is prepared at counsel's direction as litigation support and stays on the factual side of the house line: it identifies where the report and the record part ways and equips you to examine on it, without rendering opinions on causation, credibility, or standard of care. When the matter needs an opinion of record, that is the separate Expert Medical-Legal Review engagement. Billing is the page count of the submitted records at $0.75 per page with a $1,000 case minimum; analysis of the opposing expert's report is included in the same price, not billed separately.
Scope
NaviCase reviews records in orthopedic and spine cases: neck and back injury, disc herniation and radiculopathy, spinal fusion and decompression, shoulder, knee, hip, and ankle injuries, fractures and their fixation, joint replacement, and the soft-tissue claims that follow motor vehicle collisions, falls, and workplace injuries. Orthopedic and spine malpractice matters are included. Records from other specialties inside those cases, the emergency department visit, the primary care history, the pain management course, the physical therapy notes, are read in full as part of the same chronology, because that is where the prior complaint and the treatment gap usually sit.
Cases that turn on another specialty, such as cardiology, obstetrics, or oncology, are outside our focus. If you are unsure whether a file fits, ask before you upload and we will tell you plainly.
On purpose
Objectivity is the discipline of the house. Every finding is reported as the record shows it, and nothing is shaded to fit a theory, because the only summary worth putting your name on is one that holds up under cross-examination. What you tell us at intake shapes the focus of the review, never its findings. Opinions enter only at the expert tier, only in writing, and only from a physician qualified to give them, grounded in what the record supports.
Summaries and analyses inform your judgment; they don't replace it. What you conclude from the record, and how you use it, stays with you and your experts, until you retain our expert tier, where the opinions are the physician's own.
