For IME & examining physicians

Walk in knowing the record. Walk out with the report nearly done.

Chronological summaries in hand before the examination, and a report built on your own template from your dictation after it. For orthopedic, spine, and physiatry examiners, prepared by North America-based clinicians in active practice under the direction of a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon, priced by the page.

The problem, plainly

The exam takes an hour. The records take the weekend.

Examination work pays for judgment, and judgment gets buried under paper. A single compulsory examination can arrive with two thousand pages of records: emergency visits, imaging, therapy logs, prior charts, discovery responses, none of it in order and much of it duplicated. Reading it properly is not optional, because your report has to survive cross-examination and so does your preparation. But the sorting, sequencing, and summarizing are not what your license is for.

NaviCase does that reading the way you would, because the service is run by an orthopaedic surgeon who has done it. Every accessible, readable page in the confirmed record set is reviewed by a nurse practitioner, physician assistant, or physician who works in orthopedic or spine care. Prior complaints involving the same body part are traced back through the chart. Treatment gaps and imaging findings are flagged where they occur. What lands on your desk is a single chronology you can carry into the exam, with turnaround committed against your examination date.

Fitting your practice

Built to run without you managing it

Registration takes a day and your medical assistant can run everything after that: the one-minute case form, the records upload to your organization's secure workspace, and the download when the deliverable lands. Your exact price arrives by email, generally the same business day your records do, as pages times rate with no quotes and no retainers. Payment starts the clock, standard turnaround is 5 business days, and rush service down to next business day is available at published premiums, confirmed before you pay. The work supports independent and compulsory examinations, peer review, and expert engagements alike, and the same discipline applies at every tier: facts as the record shows them, nothing sampled, nothing skipped.

Asked by physicians

Straight answers

Whose report is it, and who signs it?

Yours, on both counts. For IME Report Prep the draft is composed from your dictation on your template, and the Comments and Conclusions sections arrive blank because the opinions in your report are yours alone. You read the draft against your own standard, correct anything you would say differently, write your conclusions, and sign. Where your dictation is unclear or the record is incomplete, the draft flags it for you rather than guessing.

What do you need from me on a Report Prep case?

Three things: the records, uploaded to your secure workspace; a transcript of your dictation as a text or Word file; and, on your first case, the report template your practice uses. The page count of the records sets the price. The turnaround clock starts when records, transcript, and payment are all in hand.

Do you offer opinions on causation or permanency?

Not in these services. Summaries, analyses, and report drafts stay on the factual side of the line; opinions are yours. When a matter needs an independent expert opinion rather than your own, our separate Expert Medical-Legal Review engagement provides one from a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon.

Who actually reads the records?

A nurse practitioner, physician assistant, or physician who works in orthopedic or spine care, based in North America and in active clinical practice, under the direction of a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon. AI-based tools help organize the record, and the reviewer creates and verifies the deliverable against the source PDFs.

Do you take examinations outside orthopedics and spine?

Musculoskeletal cases are the focus: spine, shoulder, knee, hip, hand, foot and ankle, fractures, and the soft-tissue injuries that follow collisions and falls. Physiatry and occupational medicine examiners on those cases fit well. A file that turns on another specialty is better served elsewhere; if you are unsure, ask before you upload.
